On the next day of our road trip, we stopped in the small town of Cromwell, known for its wonderful fruit orchards.

South Island Day 3

We spent the second day mostly driving and stopping in little towns along the way. On day three, we walked along the beach to visit the Moeraki Boulders. They are 60 million year old rocks, that are peculiarly round!

We named it^ Gerald. (Jerry for short.)

The river had a strong current, and we were told not to get too close.

The volcanic minerals make the water so blue. 

We decided to imitate Kahvi's classic ponytail pose.
